What Indian Princess has done to Pay It Forward

October 2006

Dear Indian Princess Organization,

We would like to say Thank You and God Bless each and everyone who are involved with the Indian Princess Organization. Your generous gift allowed us to pay some household and medical bills that would have been skipped, due to lack of funds.

We also would like to say thank you to Judith Dixon, who is the Native American Counselor at Union High School, for without her nomination the gift would not have been a possibility. She knew of our situation and was diligent in finding us some assistance. God Bless you Judith.

Being a single parent raising 2 teenage children is difficult enough. But with your help and the help of others we are doing much better. We are eternally grateful and wish you and your organization all the best of luck and are able to continue to bless others.

God Bless you all.

Sincerely,
Lynn Bohanan,
CDIB Oneida

Holiday Giving 2005

January 2006 gifting to Laura Dester Shelter in Tulsa, OK

Indian Princesses Ayn Robbins and Vicki Tapp delivered a check to the children's shelter for donation to cover cable TV for the children for the year of 2006. Our members donate and volunteer time and gifting all year to this much needed children's shelter. We are blessed to help in a small way to make these children's lives more peaceful and warm while in custody of the state government home.

Katrina Relief Help

In partnership with the Unity Church of Christianity we are currently making hand tied blankets for the evacuees arriving in Tulsa from New Orleans and other areas devastated by hurricane Katrina. We send out a heartfelt thank you to the teen group and to the volunteers at Unity Church.

Summer Update

Summer gifting was a success! Indian Princesses Ayni and Vicki kept up giving through volunteering time to the Laura Dester Shelter and Margie and Connie are preparing for 2005 Holiday giving. Email is: IndianPrincessOK@aol.com

T-Shirts for Laura Dester Shelter

Indian Princess Ayn Robbins and
the Angel Baby T-shirts gifted May 2005!

Mother's Day weekend 2005 we were able to give 100 T-shirts for the infants to 6 year olds in the design saying Angel Baby to the Laura Dester Shelter for abused, neglected and abandoned children in Tulsa, Oklahoma. We also gifted all the workers at the shelter and director, Reni Slepka, with a copy of our charity fundraising cookbook. Two of our members, Vicki Tapp and Ayn Robbins, donate time weekly to help with the childrens needs in manicures, rocking babies and just helping out. All of our members are also Mother's and all felt the love of not only receiving from our children but also giving to those in need during this holiday!

Blanket material has arrived from China!

Our members bought 500 yards of fleece material in assorted solid and juvenile prints for the making of blankets for the Laura Dester Childrens Shelter. Our plans are to make around 400 blankets to give this shelter in or around September 2005. Would like to see that every child entering the shelter is greeted with their own homemade blanket, a gift from our charity.

Easter Joy 2005

Through the efforts of Ayn Robbins and all Indian Princess members, we were able to provide gifting of plenty of candy and stuffed animals for the Laura Dester Shelter for abused, neglected and abandoned children in Tulsa, Oklahoma. As you can see from these pictures we truly feel In Giving We Receive!

April 2005 Recipient - CDIB Cherokee - Teresa Sehon

Teresa is a Native American single Mother of 3 children living in Owasso, Oklahoma. We were able to donate $400.00 to care for the immediate needs in this family just relocating from Arkansas. Although our deeds of help are small our hearts want to reach out to help mother's trying their best to get their life in order. We hope and pray by sharing our monetary donations and showing her love during struggling times Teresa and her family know life can and will get better and maybe our gesture of support is just what she needs to reach her life and family goals for her family's future.
